About Me.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist and Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist (PMH-C) in the state of Texas, and I am passionate about supporting women.
I have received specialized training in women’s mental health, which provides me the unique expertise to work with individuals who are trying to conceive, pregnant, and postpartum. If you are in one of these stages, you know that things do not always go as planned. Dealing with the unknown, the stress, the changes, it can all become a huge burden. Bloom Psychology was created to provide a safe space to support women and moms and help them go from “survive” to “thrive.”
I also provide parenting support and coaching for parents in other life-stages. I have extensive training in helping support parents navigating difficult circumstances, such as parenting a child with special needs, who is medically fragile, or is strong-willed.
My passion is in-depth psychotherapy, helping individuals discover the deeper truths about themselves, working to create lasting change and happiness. In my work, I draw from several psychotherapy models, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy to help my clients create the life they want to live. Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) is considered a front-line treatment for those with postpartum depression. If you are strugging with perinatal mental health, it’s important to see someone who is trained in the types of treatment that have been proven to be beneficial for women in pregnancy and post-partum.
In my spare time, I love to travel, hike, and be with my husband and two girls. A few of my favorite travel adventures have been going on safari in South Africa for my honeymoon and going to a friend’s wedding in Sri Lanka with a stopover in the Maldives.
Being a woman myself, I understand the demands that our culture places on women to be all things to all people. If you are a woman struggling with young-adulthood, motherhood, or any life stage, please do not hesitate to reach out.
